We are all painfully aware that oil prices have doubled over the last two years, and despite the fact that the price has recently fallen from its high of $147 a barrel, it is still at record levels. We Jews paid with the lives of six million of our brothers and sisters last time we waited for the world to step in and save us—this time that type of waiting is not an option
The Iranian nuclear threat is uppermost in the minds of many Israelis and Jews around the world who care for their coreligionists living in Israel. However, it seems that the case for a preemptive strike against Iran has not been properly made. Because of this many are afraid that Iran may become the next Iraq and a trigger happy United States president will again use military force unnecessarily. Recommend this article... |

How often do we pass up a win-win situation and go for the lose-lose option on account of our ego? We often see this happening on a micro scale - in the lives of those around us - and it has occurred on the world stage time and again over the past century.
One thing people forget about the Iraq war was that it could have been avoided and Sadaam Husain could have remained in power had he only cooperated fully with the UN inspectors. Thousands of lives could have been saved were it not for the ego of one person. And now we are witnessing the same again with North Korea, and a similar crisis with Iran is visible just down the road. Recommend this article... |
